Of course they do it to generate income. That's what businesses do. However, several years ago, they would have carried nothing but purchased animals. You never saw a pet store doing adoptions. And like I said before, this particular branch only carries adoptables. I find that commendable. For every pet they adopt out from their store, it means one less animal coming from a breeder. As more and more stores follow that trend, more and more animals will be saved. And I do see a trend, at least with PetSmart, toward that goal. So yes, I do give them credit for starting to do the right thing.

I guess I just prefer to see the glass as half full.
