You are very wrong on that one. A pig in a shelter will have been checked by a vet and if there's anything wrong with them, they would be treated. Shelters often have babies that people drop off when they have an unwanted litter.
You are much, much more likely to get an ill pig from a breeder, because they do NOT care about their animals and treat them like objects.
Please, please adopt instead.
You can still check out those shelters Laura listed there. Or you could look in your local newspapers, maybe someone has pigs they don't want anymore. If your shelters don't have any pigs right now, you can wait and maybe they will in the future.
