Actually, an older piggie is usually a good match for a baby piggie. There's no reason why your pig can't have a SAME SEX (or neutered) buddy. You can check Petfinder (
http://petfinder.org) or Cavy Rescue Classifieds (
http://cavyrescue.com/rescues.htm) to start finding a piggie buddy.
Most guinea pigs do much better with a buddy. You seem to already have the space. How big is your cage?
