Re: Need some help

Pine is ok as long as you air it out for 2 or 3 days if it isn't kiln-dried. You need to put bedding in the entire bottom of the cage. You will need coroplast (the plastic looking stuff) if you use the pine or you will have a horrid mess in the floor. Coroplast is corrogated plastic similar to cardboard but made of plastic instead. You can buy coroplast at sign shops and print shops. You cut it to fit the cage and make a large box out of it. If you have a Target near you, that is the best place to get cubes because they are pretty cheap there.

Also please get your mom to consider letting you get your pig a friend. Piggies are very social creatures and need friends. Also try to find a rescue or shelter to get your pigs from next time. Breeders and petstores aren't the best place to get them. You got the pig you did for cheap because the breeder can't show the pig with it's "brown spot".

Do your Pigs run away or get out when you dont seal off the top? how high do you make the cage?
Most cubes are 14" square. That is sufficient height to keep a pig in. Most pigs will not climb out of their C&C cages. If you have other animals in the house, you will need a lid for the cage. You can make a lid out of cubes.
