I forgot to also say that I found out that the other vet at my Vet's clinic is fostering 4 other GPs frm the same dump at the SPCA. Yes, the family dumped off 9 and the 4 sickest were taken on by my vet. Isn't that GREAT!
Unfortunately I found out one of the GPs died this morning. Dr Burke was going to do a necropsy and I asked to hear the results as both the vet and I feel that all of the GPs are probably related. I would like to know if there is a genetic trait we need to watch out for or if it was due to previous poor care or undiagnosed illness.
I was out when Dr. Burke called with the results so I will be calling tomorrow to find out.
I dropped off info about C&C cages for the vet. When I was leaving Dr Burke came up to me and told me she's been on this site and loves it...good news for the GPs in their care. |
