Funnygpigs, I have a question for you. Please DON'T think I am supporting stores that sell small animals - I'm not. I have plenty of good reasons (conditions, encouraging breeding, poor knowledge and training, no screening of owners, inadequate/incorrect information given to new owners) but I have trouble with the concept that a purchase of one pig is an automatic order for five more. Why would this be? Why isn't it an order for ONE more?
When I explain my position to people, I skip the "five more" reason I've heard here, because I don't understand it and can't justify it. I'd like to have a better grasp of why this is held to be true. |
